Defiant Diatom: Herb & Herbivore

The defiant diatom is probably Biddulphia (according to Anne Thessen) and the tintinnid is Ptychocylis obtusa/urnula. From a sample taken in the Canada Basin in August 2013 by Eun Jin Yang.
