Martha Barker Alexander Bookplate. Original in the Barbara Abele Bookplate Collection (Box 7, folder 18), Department of Special Collections and University Archives, San Diego State University Library, San Diego, California. She was a wealthy hieress who would later marry Frank Gerbode, the pioneer heart surgeon.
