Bookplate of William Frederic Bade. Original in the Barbara Abele Bookplate Collection (Box 7, folder 18), Department of Special Collections and University Archives, San Diego State University Library, San Diego, California. Shown by Clute in a 1924 exhibition of 1923 Bookplate designs. Bade was a very well known bible scholar/archeologist and the editor of the writings of John Muir. He was also dean of the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley.
