Trictenartus elegans (Haeckel) group [Triacartidae]

Another radiolarian from Station 52. According to Noritoshi Suzuki this morphotype is like typical T. elegans except for three "segmentation". However, as like Trictenartus phasmatodes (Su), the segmentation patterns are variable within a species but only in this particular genus. Aslo known as Artopilium elegans, Pterocanium elegans, Dictyocodon elegans, Periarachnium elegans.
