Van Leeuwenhoek Protists: A Foraminfera and a Ciliate

Antony Van Leeuwenhoek was the first protistologist. The drawings of the specimens from letters published in 1700 are reproduced from a book by Clifford Dobell (1932) entitled "Antony Van Leeuwenhoek and his 'little animal' Being some account of the father of protozoology and bacteriology and his multifarious discoversies in these disciplines"
