1. Astromma (?) A rhomboidal shaped mass of a very confused sponge-like web of fine tangled threads ; inclosing in the middle a dark areolated ball. Four sharp spines protrude from the web at right angles, and measure from point to point •01714.

6. Central part of a similar organism. These beautiful crosses, with and without balls or spines at the ends of the arms, are very frequent in the deposit from Mt. Hillaby, Barbados.
